Recipes & Dieting Tips: Seared/Grilled Salmon


Try both of these easy to make delicious salmon fillet recipes:

1. Seared Salmon

Ingredients:

Salmon fillet

raisins

sesame seeds or pine nuts

onion

rosemary powder

lime

lemon

Directions

  1. Marinate salmon for 2 hours with: pinch of salt, sprinkle of dried rosemary, & squeeze of lime.

  2. In lightly oiled pan, saute until lightly brown: a sliced onion, 1 tablespoon of raisins, 1 tablespoon sesame seeds or pine nuts.

  3. Grill on BBQ or sear salmon in nonstick pan using a light spray of olive oil x 5 minutes until golden brown. Flip over and sear x 1 minute.

  4. Serve salmon over steamed asparagus, broccoli, or spinach.

  5. Drizzle sauteed onions, raisins, sesame seeds/pine nuts over salmon.

  6. Add squeezed lemon to taste.

2. Dill Salmon

Ingredients:

Salmon fillet

Fresh Dill flakes

salt

lemon

Directions

  1. Place salmon fillet in aluminum foil.

  2. Heavily sprinkle dill flakes.

  3. Lightly sprinkle salt.

  4. Seal aluminum foil over salmon air tight.

  5. Bake in oven at 400 degrees for 6-9 minutes (depending on thickness).

  6. Serve salmon over steamed asparagus, broccoli, or spinach.

  7. Add squeezed lemon to taste.
